Q: What information is required prior to and during the assessment? How long does it take to complete?
A: We require information from you prior to the energy assessment simply to make things quicker and easier for yourselves and for us when we come to your premises. Prior information on the type of property and the date it was built will help us when we come to fill in our data.
The on-site assessment will normally take about 45 minutes to an hour dependent on the size of the property.
When we are on site we will carry out a non intrusive assessment of your house including internal and external measurements, and will require access to gas and electric meters and hot water cylinders. Additionally we need access to your loft to inspect the insulation and access to ALL rooms to record lighting and heating information.
We will also take photographs as evidence to support the information that we submit on your house.
